Rainwater features “Luxurious Comfort Food” focusing on fresh, local flavors chosen to compliment Rainwater’s 4,500-bottle wine collection, to which Wine Spectator has given their Award of Excellence for five years running.
Dinner highlights include appetizers such as the Vodka Cured Salmon Tartar gaufrette potatoes, pesto goat cheese, dried cured olives and preserved lemon vinaigrette or Rainwater’s signature Crab Cake seared jumbo lump crabmeat with cracked mustard beurre blanc, basil aioli and haystack potatoes.
Entrees range from $20 to $36 and offer a wide variety of choices including the Rack of Lamb that is peanut crusted and served with red curry sweet potato, grilled asparagus and lamb jus to the Florida Black Grouper served with wild mushroom grits, asparagus, leek cream sauce with crispy sautéed mushrooms.
The dessert presentation is rewarding, offering Rainwater’s signature Apple Beignet, a warm apple and pecan fritter with a rum caramel sauce and oatmeal raisin crunch ice cream and a seasonally changing chocolate dessert item.
Lunch at Rainwater is more casual. Entrees range from $10 to $16 and features soups, salads and specialty items such as the Black Truffle Chicken Salad Sandwich, Mushroom Crusted Petit Filet and Black Angus Burger with sharp cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and served with house fries.
