Since 2001, Rainwater has continued to win high praises locally for its outstanding cuisine, legendary charm and warm hospitality.  The kitchen is led by two-time James Beard House invitee, Executive Chef Jay Swift.  Celebrated for the contemporary Southern-inspired cuisine he created at Atlanta’s South City Kitchen since 1997, Chef Swift brings to Rainwater not only a wealth of expertise in the city’s culinary scene, but also his acclaimed gastronomic talent.  He masterfully orchestrates contemporary dishes with bold flavors, inspired by local ingredients from land and sea.

From the moment guests arrive at the covered cobblestone entrance, a sense of the extra ordinary is established. Once inside, alluring lighting harmonizes with rich woods and wrought iron accents.  Housed in a private wine room, Rainwater’s acclaimed wine collection is deep and global with rare vintages and boutique finds.  The restaurant has received an “Award of Excellence” by Wine Spectator for the past four years, and has also been named one of Zagat’s “Top 40 Restaurants” in Atlanta for 2004/2005.
